Thanks for the detail. Can you provide some pictures ? What does your OneNote start-up screen look like? Visual map of your whole project universe?

Also, how do you back up your Outlook mail files?

It’s great for project planning and as you describe, the integration into the Outlook task list is superb in that regard.
Because of OneNote’s strengths in handling unstructured content, I find OneNote particularly useful for the collection part of GTD. See http://kalsing.com/index.php/2009/07/16/using-onenote-for-the-collection-process-in-gtd/

Thank you for sharing your experience. I looked into OneNote (2007) a while ago and started again to look into it after reading Ryan Oakley’s posting.

My current set up is:-
– Outlook 2007
– Netcentric’s GTD Add-in
– OneNote

I am working on replacing Mindjet’s MindManager with OneNote as far as GTD is concerned.

I am using Outlook to strictly manage my actions. Projects are tracked and documented in OneNote with the Actions going into Outlook.

So far I think OneNote is serving me well. Still need to work a bit more with it to get finally convinced.

Regards,
Stefan
