Rural areas do not have constant access to high speed (or sometimes any speed) internet and I don’t want critical or private information on any system or server I do not control.

Case in point, was on a trip yesterday where we spent 6 hours out of any cell phone range at all so no possibility of cloud systems in use.

Lots of folks assume the US has ubiquitous internet access which is false.
